Radir makes these and are a completely new tire.
Hurst also produces this style tire based on the re-cap method.
They are priced accordingly and there are tons of threads discussing
    them both. Hope this helps.

Seems like there was one call BRUCE SLICKS, that looked like that..

  9. The pie crusts look a little deeper than the Radir, Possibly Towel City?

Sorry, I'd missed the Hurst deal. http://www.kellyshotrodparts.com/cheater_slicks.html Here's the link to Kelly's.
They sell the Towel City re-caps. Forgot about them. I know a bunch of folks have had good luck with the re-cap slicks, but personally I like the idea of a new tire better. You might also check your regulations in Germany. Seems I remember inspections and road rules being a little more serious there. I wish Radir would make a Blackwall!

The "who cares" is in my signature line, not in my answer...

Hurst was located in my backyard in Oregon City, but went out of business and Cory has not resurfaced yet that I know of. You can chose grooving options from dirt track to cheater slicks, 8, 9 and 10 inch wide, you name it. he sent me mine in days and they balanced up just fine.

I have Towel City on my 62 Delray. Recap of Michelin Radial. Internal rough balance. Never a problem.
