I'm hoping I can find the answer here on the HAMB for my dad. He is currently working on his Deuce 3 window and is fitting a new windshield frame to the car. It was chopped some 30 or 40 years ago so he has to chop his new windshield frame. The problem is, my dad isn't sure where the bottom of the windshield frame should sit in relation to the body(since he has to chop his). The old windshield didn't have a frame and was just glued to the car. I have attached a few pics of the bottom portion of the windshield frame. In the first picture you can see the frame sits all the way down, till it touches the body. The second pic it sits up a little and is more recessed into the windshield opening. Is the windshield frame supposed to sit right up against the back of the dash? As it is, there is quite a large gap there now.
    Thanks for the help.

you should pose this question over on "The Deuce" there are plenty of members with original cars willing to take pics and share with you. Mine is gl***, so I can't help you. but i am sure you can get a good answer over there.

The windshield frame should overlap the opening all the way around. Just as it overlaps on the sides and at the top. That way the windshield gasket lays on the opening and seals it.

Your first pic of holding the bottom piece of the windshield frame is correct.
