Hi, this is my first post on this forum. I have a 1941 Chevy Coupe. The front wheels are stock but the ones in back are not and I don't know what car they came from. Anyway, I'm looking for a set of 16" hubcaps and I found these. Would they fit my wheels? Can you tell from the pictures in this post? The seller said they are from a 1950-1952 Chevy but someone at another forum told me they are from 1948. Sorry for the ****py photos. Thanks for your help.
Read the tire size on your car. If they are 15 looks like your good to go. The wheel covers look like the 51-52 ***esory caps. Expensive also.
the center design looks more like 49-50 small disc centers. some were red, some goldish, colors designated year.
They are 16" and so are the wheels on my car obviously. Just wanted to make sure that they will fit if I buy them. As someone here said; they're expensive and I live on the other side of the globe. Thanks
One of the wheels in your pictures has 6 lugs, the other has 5 lugs. I'm old and my memory sometimes plays tricks on me, but I think 6 lug Chevy wheels were '48 and older and were for 16" tires; 5 lugs were '49 and newer and were for 15" tires. Check your tire sizes and/or measure the wheels
The '48 cover shown was available in both sizes. 15'' wheels were a p***. car option in '48. There's a very similar 16'' '54 3100 optional cover as well. All pre '53 full wheel covers & optional caps are scarce & hard to find in decent shape.
