Hey guys Mark here , haven't posted anything in a while but was wondering if I could get some help on something. Having trouble installing an under dash break pedal assembly on my 48 Chevy . The one I had prior had the brake pedal too high to reach with my big foot. Does any one know what kind I could use without having to resort to buying some new part online. Some one once told me that a 72 Pontiac brake assembly would work but lost contact with that old friend. Is this true does anyone know if any GM would work? If so what years? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and Happy Rodding

Late '70's through late '80's full-size Chevys will work with a little modification.

I've had luck with 70/80s GM hanging pedal set ups. What do you intend to run for front brakes? Stock original? Late model discs? If its a disc set up consider a master cylinder set up complete with pedal master/booster and all. Its not to hard to use almost all the original pedal bracketry, although it easier if the steering column is out of the way. BILL RINALDI

...those mentioned work well but sometimes you need to make the pedal arm a bit longer.

I used one from a 77 full size Chevy. I had to lengthen it some to make it more comfortable. Bill
