After I lost my job as quality control inspector at the Mustang Ranch, I became a tech in the exciting world of air conditioning and refrigeration repair. But the excitment of crawling in attics and under houses was just to much for me to handle. Now I works for an A/C parts house and send parts out to others who live the dream life
I'm a technician at a Chevrolet dealership during the day which is great for me because a) it isn't very hard, b) I spend a lot of my time thinking about other stuff, and c) I make excellent money. Weekends and nights I work for my Dad at his shop doing fab work on various hotrod projects. Before i went back to work for other people about three years ago, I owned a fabrication shop specialzing in intake manifolds and headers for race vehicles.

I get high for a living. I work on cranes, mobile and tower. Before that, I was a diesel tech, a Stirling engine tech, and a turbine overhaul tech. The money is WAYYYYYY better now. Jay
An elementary school assistant principal. I need to fuss a kid, but this is a whole more interesting.
Principal SCADA/Communications Technologist for El Paso Production. Big frickin' title, huh? You get the big title instead of market level pay. Basically, a networking, telephone, radio, fiber optic, satellite, control electronics, everthing kinda guy (no McGuiver jokes). Although I have done some wild crap with hay baling wire...
I work In a small machine that does gundrilling { deephole drilling } bin there for about 15 years we drill anything from .055 to 1.437 and any kind of material from all kinds of steal, plastics and even wood. the job is not bad, the boss is cool and the owner is never there. the benefits are good, the pay I will leave it at that.
Mechanincal Engineer in the packaging equipment field. We use Pro-E. Just got done with a offical training course, Mow I know the right way to do it. Started out back when you used paper and pencil or some times Linen and ink. The computer sure makes revisions a whole lot easier.
Man, I build hot rods and drag race cars for the "gold chainers" as most of you call them, good customers that enable me to have a rod and race car of my own. been doin it professionally since 83' , prior to that service manager. and way back snap on dealer.. Lifes good , could use a good woman with a hot rod however, (send pics of hot rod)...
man, with all the designers and computer guys i figure there outa be someone kinda common, guess it's me i drive a truck, haul bulk cement and flyash to ready mix plants
I'm a HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) coordinator for a meat-processing plant. Which means I spend about fifteen minutes a day filling out meaningless forms for some fucking USDA inspector to look over. And a few hours a week looking crap up in the CFR when the bonehead inspectors tell me something bogus. I also maintain the machinery, the reefer (wait... refrigeration - back off rastas), do deliveries (the best part), clean all the nasty shit that nobody else will, and make BBQ pork. Before this I was a USDA inspector. And a service writer and tech at a few garages. Which is something I'd be willing to go back to... And, I did drafting, like lots of other guys, but never used pro E; we used Cadkey 6 (been a while, huh?). -bill
Today, well yesterday now, was my last day as production manager for one of the oldest crankshaft rebuilders in the country ("downsizing" due to lack of business) First time I've been out of work in 26 years. Anyway, I've been involved in engine machining since @ 1970. I guess at this point I don't know what my job will be but I'll be looking hard come monday. I've also done chassis building, speed shop sales and installation etc. etc, etc. Anybody got any openings? I'm willing to relocate almost anywhere warm with a good blues music scene (I play too, gotta feed the muse).
Tonight I told some dame I was a movie producer, AND I WAS TELLING THE TRUTH! To pay the bills : corporate whore For fun: repoman To get laid: movie producer I need a fucking vacation.

Been retired for several years now. My sort of job is hady man at a shop that builds hot rods. I sweep the floor, empty the trash, and fix things when they were broke. My last major facility job was locating the septic tank so it could be pumped. On occasion, I even get to work on cars. Mostly disassembly. In return I get complete access to all of the tools and help with my projects. It is a win-win situation. And my wife like the fact that I am out of the house most of the day.
I'm a Registered Respiratory therapist and work in a major Heart Hospital in Nashville. I opened a transmission repair shop in Jackson, TN in 2002 and sold it in 2004. I've been in the medical field 32 years this coming August. It's sometimes depressing when you think everybody you work with is either dying or doesn't feel good, but then you get that one you help have a better life or help them cope a little better with whats left of their life and you feel you've made a difference and that makes it worth it! 48 Poncho
Teaching assistant at a school for kids with "behavioral difficulties" we have kids on electronic tags, one a manslaughter charge, one's dealing coke (and we aint talking soft drinks!!) to the other kids and a few show up so stoned they can't speak...........they all need a good punch...trust me. Pissing around with correct methods does no fucking good, selective breeding and involutary euthenasia is the only way......and I like these kids!!!!!!!!
