Easter week end I drug in the box tubing that has been sitting since July 2014 for its final destination.
This will be my first build so take it easy on me! If you see a mistake I'm open for suggestions.

Here it goes! Got frame started and I'm making a test fit and trying to get that over all image of " Will it look like what that Corn Grinder in my head thinks" it will look like?
here is what I've done in the past few weeks after work.

Very cool build, can't wait to see more. Good Luck!

  4. Jesus christ.. Welding on rusty steel.. front end hanging way too far out the front.. thick ass front tires.. Is this what the HAMB has become? Looks like a rat rod build here..

OK! I see where this is going! Sorry for the rusty metal I live on the gulf coast of Texas, metal rust here. If your going to knit pick look close at wishbone mount and you will see water from the rain.
It's not a RAT ROD, don't like them!
It's not a Bobber either if my son and dog cant ride in bed its useless! The bed is a full 5' long.
Thanks to Javier Garcia for the positive feed back.
I've only been working on it for a few weeks after work so things are not perfected yet. But Wait!! Things are Bigger and Badder in Texas!
    Have a great day!

  11. Good plan, keep at it and send along pics. Can't make everyone happy all the time. What is important is that you are happy with it. Your build, do it your way. Will keep our eye on you.

Thanks guys! Planning on doing motor mounts and tranny mount today. Once that's done my wife volunteered to help get body off again so I can finish frame and get it ready for paint. Just can't rush it like I want to but full time job and a 4year old come first! It will get there! Thanks again for the support.

    Good afternoon ,
Well its been a while since i've been able to do any work at home due to school starting next week. I was jacking around in my shop this past weekend and got the front spring mounted and the motor mounts in as well. The ride height is a little higher ( 4") than I expected with this set up. has any body taken a leaf out of a front stack? I don't recall if you take the 2nd or 3rd out to get a little drop. I found a killer deal on a set of double adjustable coil overs on craigs list for 50 bucks I couldn't pass them up!
We had decent weather over the past weekend and the shop needed a good sweeping out so I snapped a picture of it sitting outside.
Happy tinkering to all and have a great day!
    Rob
