Great stance. My neighbors in 83 bought a f1 with 25K on it from a 90 year old man going into a nursing home. Flatty V8, 4 speed, I remember it had the original front tires and only one tail light out back. We would go to our local drive in burger joint in it. Good memories

  7. I think I like this body and grill style the best (51?). Id actually rather have one like this than my 62 Unibody. Really love your truck!

Any info on this 4 wheel drive? I have a lot of extra parts I could use.

Since getting the brakes working and getting it running, I've been trying to log some miles in the '54. This week's projects have been working on chasing down electrical stuff that hasn't worked since I have had it.

My work in progress. Lowered the front, waiting on some lowering shackles for the back. Hopefully some paint and bodywork in the Spring. Nov \'14 Front Mono Springs (5).JPG

A friend's F100s. Had a few over the years but never finished anything.
The 48 was mint condition with no rust whatsoever as was the 56. The green 58 was a fixer-upper and the red 58 is now a roller on hold.

First post from a newbie but i figured I would post some before pics of my f1 pickups. Two 52s and a 50. Hoping to get at least one nice driver out of the gray 52. Currently have a 57 shortbox that im going to sell or part out to get one of these beasts moving!

Do you have any spec's on this? Ive thought about doing a 4 wheel drive version next.

  22. This was a super simple swap I did in the '70's. I bought a worn out '60 F-100 4X4 and basically bolted everything including the crossmember into the '56. Only thing I modoified was the rear driveline as the '60 was a long wheelbase. The '56 had a 292 and 4 speed so it was all bolt up. Later I dropped in a 390/C-6 and then it got tricky. '56 springs are a little narrower but it all hooks up OK.
