My Hollywood Brother is doing a photo shoot in Charleston Sc next week. He needs a 1954 or earlier car, convertible would be nice, 2 door sedan or hardtop works. It is an advertising photo shoot for a Large upscale casual clothing company. The photo shoot is Tuesday the 28th of April. It is a good paying gig for a clean stock, or very mild custom early 50's car. The photos will be in major media, so your car can be famous. I have nothing to gain from this. If He had more notice my 1953 Chevrolet sedan would be good enough. My Desoto would be the perfect car, but it is a long way from finished. I did not need to post this here, just thought someone from the board might like some money, and some nice ad photos of their car. I don't want to post to many details about the money or the companies involved, but everything is top shelf, the pay is real good for a few hours. Imagine rich white kids, mostly girls fully clothed posing around a car that shows how wonderful their perfect lives are because they wear .... Like I said my Desoto would be perfect, but... "Imagine rich white kids, mostly girls fully clothed posing around a car that shows how wonderful their perfect lives are because they wear ...." Pathetic
Pathetic maybe in my description, but I did not want to send the wrong impression. There will be no Tattooed up, liquored up, vulgar, **** BS going on. This is cl***y ad work, that most will be proud of. If you have any issues call me or email, I will send you links to my brother and the company.
I meant no offence to you or your post. ..the way you worded that sentence; reminds me of why I don't own TV. A commercial... It was the ad about selling new Ford Explorers years ago, the family out in deep snow in remote forest, no roads, smiling as a deer crosses in front of them. ... In reality, the people who bought those cars were actually stuck in a daily traffic jam, going to waste yet another day/week/decade, of their "pathetic" life to pay for all this "spin".
That is why I put it the way I did. It is $500 for a few hours, your car will be in mainstream ads. Not everyone wants that. I would rather it was a cool car from here. I have nothing to gain. I thought before I posted. I did not want it to seem like spam. I have been around enough people here for no one to take it the wrong way.
It's nice that the offer was made. A few friends have had cars and trucks in ads and short movie clips. Anything to do with old cars has gotta be fun. Even with rich white kids, mostly girls fully clothed, which are hard to find around here!
