I am from Charleston, used to live in WA state. you can only come down here if you tell me you are not a Cougar fan.................. LOL

Its a great town. Love it here. THe job market is pretty good but the wages are not as high as the NW (or other west coast cities). Boeing is having the 787 fuselage built here (by Vought aircraft) and that should bring more related businesses into the area. Chrysler is going to start building delivery vans here and there is a shipyard (one of the busiest ports on the east coast.

The housing market is cheaper then Washington also. My wife is a realitor so if you need housing info send me a PM with your name and addy.

The hotrod scene is not as good as you are used to, it gets better each years but if you want any good shows you must travel out of state.. there are several HAMBers that now live here..

if you need more info, send me a PM and we can talk

I grew up in Moncks Corner, close to Charleston. Nice place, housing prices are better than wyoming, I think the job market is good too.

    Way too damn hot though.

I'm in Charleston too. GREAT town.

The housing market is still very good. 150K will get you a real nice 3 bedroom in a good neighborhood.

Lots of jobs and the wages are competitive. Boones works for a global company adn does not make what his west coast counterparts do, but on the other hand, I am paid quite handsomely for my field. I guess it varys..

Charleston stays hoppin even when teh ecomomy is in the shitter. Good light and heavy industrial base plus military, college and tourisim.

The car scene is not so good, but getting better and there is a small group of us that don't suck too bad. Plus, we are just a few hours from the Goodieguys at Charlotte adn Jacksonville.

Feel free to PM me if you need anything. -Abone.
