Flathead engine rebuilder in Southern California

  1. got a flathead in a 48ford f1 that needs to be rebuilt and im in southern california. Flatheads forever? taylor engine? Mike's Earley Iron? i figured id trust y'all over the all mighty google

    Go see Cater Johnson at Carters Automotive in La Puente, One of the coolest old guys you'd ever meet and won't steal your wallet. 626.336.5467. Has a '36 Club Coupe and tons of racing stories. He's only open from 10-3 I think.

    Taylor's is the place! Sad that Jay p***ed away today, but hopefully Barbara will keep it going with the great staff they have. Tons of history there from back when Nelly Taylor started it to today.
    No question H&H is good too.

    H&H is building a French Flathead now. Can't wait to hear it run in a couple of weeks.
