Calling all H.A.M.B. members

I’m about to due a really stupid thing. I’m leaving Florida, flying to Reno NV to pick up my new Sweetheart “Suzy Q” ’50 Ford that I purchased off of eBay, and I’m driving her home almost 3000 miles. The cost of shipping her was just too expensive plus I want to meet the gentleman I bought it from and see the car first hand. Soooo I was wondering if any of you guys/gals would be in the areas in which I’m traveling just incase something really bad happens along the way. I was going to go mid states but with treat of cold & snow I decided to take a more southern route.
Reno, to Las Vegas, via US-95, to I-40 through Oklahoma City to I-35/635 into Mesquite, I-20 to Shreveport pick up I-49s to I-10 into Florida down US-19/I-75 to Home/Port Charlotte, FL.

I wouldn't go shouth at Shreveport, !-10 is probably still F'ed up, go east until you get to Meridien , MS, then to Montgomery on 80 and head SE from There on 231 towards Tallahasse before you get back on I-10.

I did it a month ago and made good time.

Unless somebody knows how bad/good I-10 is through Baton Rouge to Pensacola

 

Only part of I-10 that I know is messed up is just after you pass Pensacola. The bridge was partially washed away and the East bound lane goes down to 1 lane. Depending on what time you hit the bridge, it usually isnt that bad, 2 minutes and your back up to speed again.

FWIW, if you take I-20 to Meridian, MS, US 80 is lightly travelled over to Montgomery, and US 231 is a good mostly 65mph down towards Fla.
