It is a Lincoln 341 Y block with a truck bell,I wanted a t5 but a friend gave me this 4 speed s10 trans.Over to my machinest buddy and here is what we came up with.I have posted before but didn't have good pics or description. This set up is up and running now and it is the same size as a t5 so when I get one it will be a easy swap.1 st pic is the ring to center the trans in the bellhttp://second pic is an adapter so the s10 shaft will fit the lincoln trowout bearing.http://[IMG]3rd pic hole had to be relocated and the other 3 hogged out a littlehttp://[IMG]4th pic is the pilot shaft adapter bearing fit the s10 and bronze adapter fit the crank http://[IMG]]5th pic is s10 cluth 14 spline 11 inch was as big as I could find the pressure plate is 12 orig**** lincolnhttp://[IMG]put all this together about 150 $ http://[IMG]]Sorry for the big pics and the order all jacked up but I am lucky to get all this in 1 post thanks for looking. That's why they also used them in big trucks. Was acquainted with a '52 F7 wrecker that had the big Lincoln OHV V8. It would pull about anything it could hook onto.

  15. Would it be pretty much the same mating a T-5 up to a 272 Y block in a '55 Ford car?

Yea pretty sure it would be about the same deal. Just got my t-5 and it fits right where the 4 speed was.
