Is this the one that was in red oxide primer a few months ago? What do you mean closer? What's left? Black is the only color for this car. And from your updates, it looks like you do top notch work. Hopefully I'll get to see it in person some day. Looks great.
Front and rear pics please. My cars is going black too. Lordy, I hope it's not the NEW flat black with red wheels!!
That is what it was supposed to look like all along. That is bad ass!!! please use the original grill. I love it. jeff
I'm glad everyone likes it. I busted my ass on this one!!! I'll be done with it this week, polished and assembled.
KOOL !!! you want to come to Florida a help me with mine? The heifer is going to get droped 5" in the front and I'm thinking 8" in the rear, still trying to figure it all out. Anyway awesome looking shoebox.
Goddamn that thing looks amazing. All I can say is youre lucky I dont know where you live or I'd have stolen that thing by now. "No officer, It just looks like that other car. This ones mine" Lol Nice work.
Come on down, Hey man I love the photos on the Johnson's Garage website, looks like you guys keep busy.
This is the first project I've done for Joe and Jason. They are top notch guys. I look forward to doing more with them. As far as Florida goes, I really want to get down there. I have family there that I haven't seen in a while. Maybe if we go, we'll look you up. Thanks again, Dave
What he said.......although any chance of puting sombrero's (sp?) on it? Well done none the less. Cheers, Drewfus
Impressive. I knew it was gonna look good, but man. . . . it turned out fantastic. Pls post some more when the bumpers, etc. are all on.
Yeah, I guess it doesn't suck too bad.......[cough cough} Damn! I dang neart swallowed my gum when I opened the images to see my old car! Joe's gonna love it when it's all finished. Looks killer to me. Musta taken a loooooooooooootta block sanding to get it looking that straight in black. Did you guys scrap all the decklids I sent with it or fix the one that was on it? What's Joe want for interior? I'm really happy it went to somebody that wasn't gonna just drive it 'till it dropped... I'm waiting for Dave [the original builder] to see the photos and reply. Here's a photo of how it looked when it left Omaha a few months ago, complete with plenty of road rash and even a rust hole or 2 in the lower front fenders...
we ditched the ones you sent Rocky and went with another one... that still took a shit load of work to get straight! Painterman stripped this sucker down to nuttin and did his magic to get her straight. Still one of the best shoebox chops I've seen in a long while... even better shiney!!!! BTW, i took care of the rust too!!!
