My T'Bird has been neglected, again. I've been piling parts and tools on it getting the Airlift system under the Riviera. Now that's almost done, the 'bird can go from bench/catch-all to car again.

I did use the hood of my 59 and some ether to inflate some tires but the 59 is a daily driver

parts management is a big part of working/restoring cars. for my '33 project right now i have the beds in two spare bedrooms loaded with finished parts, my wife's rambler piled with parts and a rolling cart filled, plus the motor is on an engine stand.

I stored my painting supplies in my 57 Suburban for years. Then I used them to paint it, and now I have boxes laying all over with painting stuff, that I can never find.

My rambler gets piled up with project parts all winter but it's a driver so I have to inevitably clean it off to drive it when the weather turns nice every year. My actual workbench is a trash heap I'm too embarr***ed to even show here.

My oldest son and his buddies used my wrecked 55' to get up in the rafters of the garage. Didn't find all the dents till I started the bodywork years later. By then he was too big for me to bust his ****.

I have to be super careful with the Unibody in the garage ... Its so easy to toss stuff in the bed when Im moving stuff around looking for lost stuff. All of a sudden my shelf's are really clean and neat, but the truck is full to the brim with junk (good stuff).

It's not really a hot rod until you take the hood off and store it on top of the car!

Just finished my workbench in my garage so I can bring the car home , but I have to move and sort all the stuff and my workbench has now disapeared under the pile of things !!! I need to take the sheetmetal over to the car and store it inside it that will make up some room plus get rid of all the sets of mounted tires ( O/t DD's) and find a place for the engines , I need a storage unit for the storage unit !!! once I get the parts from my O/t cars I used to restore out of my hair it should be easier .

Unfortunately my '59 has a nice big roof to store (and lose) things on. The flat hood is my main work bench. Once I get some good primer or paint on it, I'll have to find another place to work. I constantly shuffle parts around on the floor just so I can walk next to the car. My dining room is where I store the real good stuff.

Yep, just used the bed of my OT silverado as a storage/workbench while swapping over to stainless brake lines and hoses. Took a while to clean it out to make a test drive.

Yes it has. My 47 ford coupe(that really needs to find a new home)has the trunk full of boxes the roof has a few left over pieces of wall insulation and the hood has parts boxes and other **** on it. Good thing its just a 25 year old dp90 paint job.

When growing up I watched my dad make cars disappear by putting stuff on them, then not working on them because he couldn't get next to them. I don't stack stuff on my project, for this reason. I never know when I am going to get a chance to work on it, and I don't want to spend a hour cleaning it so I can.

Same here... I have a big bench in my machine shop area, might have a 6" x 6" space to work on. I have big 90 gallon garbage cans outside, the top is a perfect height to work on. I desperately need to go out the back of my garage about 12'.
