Yup! I have a pair of their 28.5X8 cheater slicks on my daily driver T-Bucket. Love 'em! Talk to Herb there, he'll get you set up.

Oh cool, I was kind of worried with never hearing of them. What's the tread life on the tires? Are recaps safe for daily driving?

I just bought a pair of their 10" cheater slicks, they told me 2-3 weeks for delivery, I got them 3 days after placing the order. Can't beat their service. Nice slicks too. Jibs

Towel City hhas been around almost forever. Back in the 60s they capped dirt track racing tires, still do.

Growing up, the only tires my dad put on his truck were recaps.

I've got a pair on the back of my coupe that I bought last year. I've had no complaints other than being cheater slicks, they aren't very good in the rain. I'm taking them off this spring and saving them for my dragster project.

I was running a set of Hoosier Street Radials. 31 /12.50/15 I had a vibration after mounting them I couldn't get out. After checking for roundness they were both off. Hoosier wouldn't do anything so I ran them till they wore out. Went with Towel City blackwall pie crust cheaters. Also ordered a set of front runners. I couldn't believe how much they smoothed my ride. They come out of the hole better and ride better. Quality and service were great. Shipping is high cause they are heavy. It's all I will put on now. I love em had the grooving put on outside edges. Worked good in the rain in Austin at LSRU. I like the way they are hand grooved look more like the old days than the molded tires. But I don't like all the perfect cars nowadays as that is not how I remember them. I have about 1500 miles on em and they are great.

They were the track tire when I ran at Islip. I came close to becoming a distributor too. They held up pretty well on asphalt tracks and wore out before any defect showed its ugly head.
