Had the 32 3W at a friend's body shop this week. Stripped all the old 40 - 50 + year old paint off. Some of it was the original Henry paint. Really happy with what I found, or better yet....what I did NOT find... No rust, no rot and no bondo....... No evidence of any body damage ever...... Not a LOT of work to paint it " Henry's favorite color " .... BLACK
YEAH! Blacks been done man who you tryin to be 3W Larry or somethin.. Paint it red ...not many red 3w's around. LOL
All my Hot Rods have been BLACK since before 3W Larry ever owned a 32 Ford...... And while I LIKE the look 3W Larry is working towards........no one would ever mistake my full fendered 3W for his ' Rolling Bones ' inspired coupe...
wow.very nice, straight body. i say for the finish, just pour a couple cases of coca cola on it and let nature take its course. i always had a spot in my heart for some healthy surface rust finishes.
AHHHH!!! An unpatched Deuce. A wonder to behold. Congrats Randy. Thats going to be a fitting stablemate for the Roadster. Frank
Looks like it was done last week.......so it will stay....as is Sometimes you have to look at 50, 75 or more to get the one you want... I have been chasing this coupe for a good while. I know where at least 10 1932 3 Window coupes are.......but could not ever get one to even price them. There are 4 ( that I know of... ) close to HRP's house in upstate SC. He has a photo of one ( unrestored.just a good barn car ) ....that the guy has turned down 50 grand for....and he lives in a one thousand dollar mobile home.....surrounded by junk. Money will not buy it.and yet he does nothing with it.....at least it is inside. These photos were taken by HRP.... .
The thing is.........he has a bunch of cool cars.....all very desirable old Fords......in good shape. He is middle sixty something and works everyday... Maybe HotRodPrimer will post some of the other cars....33 and 34's
...I'm sittin' here lookin' at it and I can't believe it...that barn car is soooo nice, and he won't sell...I'm going outside to eat worms now.

QUOTE] he's probably got no insurance to pay for that heart attack thats coming...and he's hangin onto it to sell it when that time comes!!! People are just sometimes in different situations that the rest of us, like it or not, and regardless of what we think is normal for the rest of us. I, too, dont like to see things like that deuce go to waste, but **** happens. thats just my 2 cents worth.
Deuce Roadster...If that's your old shiny black Deuce...Go to the top of the cl***...I'm speechless, and that don't happen all that much. WOW!!!
Virgin Henry Ford Sheetmetal . My shorts are getting tighter . If ya' can find one that nice, I wouldn't think about a Brookville. That's a rare find Mr. Randy. As for the color. Sheetmetal that nice deserves to be BLACK.
Lucky *******! What are the odds of 100% unmolested sheetmetal in a 75yr old car that was originally "just a car?" Well, it's good to know that SOMEBODY has their priorities straight.
