Speedway Motors sales almost the same design. If you are going to bash other people's work at least do some research first.

I'm just trying to let you know there might be a problem. I've been wrong before, but I am a car builder and have some idea what works and what doesn't. A shroud is supposed to **** air through the whole core. That's going to be a little difficult with holes in the shroud. You know as well as I do the holes are there to give ram air that comes in to the radiator somewhere to go, instead of being trapped between the fin and metal blockage. This design is only marginally better than mounting the two fans directly to the core and not that good at any speed. The work is very nice, it is just the design that is flawed.
Work on the car looks nice, but if it overheats while moving, you might say, maybe the old guy knew what he was talking about.
Solid shroud, at least a little back away from the core will work.

I understand and appreciate your concern. I'll let everyone know how things work out. Wiring is next.....

Is that a spacer behind the fog lamp switch bezel?

Yes it appears to be a spacer.

Ok thanks I found the one to mine this weekend. It had fallen down into the defrost controls at some point in time.

Well the Poncho is back on the road. I've run it down the interstate, around town and numerous burnouts. So far no over heating to report.

Nice, I'm happy you got it back.
I think of selling mine from time to time, to buy something else.
Then I spend a little time with it and realize I waited to long to buy a nice old car, I'd hate to not find another one.

Mine had a SBC swapped in somewhere in the past, I get a lot of heat through the fire wall and floor.
I also need a fan shroud, the engine gets to hot if I run the AC.

Here it is the day I bought it:

Jeff... If that's the Pontiac you bought, and those are the 'problems', it'd be best to fix 'em!
Beautiful Indian there, the right year...the right model.
Some floor/firewall insulating pad, cut to fit; then some good padding, then carpet.
You are spot-on with the shroud, all the difference.
I am in a similar situation with my '54 Ford Coupe...(new 406, heavy duty 3 speed B-W 3 speed with a Jeep tower...(REAL floor shift, 'cane' type stick...)
They need insulation, and radiator shrouds...
    Fix that Indian!
