Will f1 brake hoses fit 40 passenger wheel cylinders?

I have the 42 to 48 front brake hoses and they are a little short. The F1 front brake hose is a couple of inches longer and would do the trick.

    Are the ends the same?

Cannot guarantee but I think they are the same 1/4 line.

Don't know about the F1, but assume they're the same as F100 - my F100 were 3/16" line...don't have any at hand to verify though.

The brake line size going inot the hose is not really the issue (previous post that refrenced use of 3/16" line) the hose end size, style & thread count are what you need to look into. This may or maynot be helpful, according to the Raybestos Illustration Guide * Early Brake Application Book here are some specs:
    39-48 Ford Pass. Car 7/16"x20 Male End & 7/16"x24 Female End 15 3/8" OAL

    48-52 F1 3/8"x24 Male End & 3/8"x24 Female End 15 3/8" OAL

    F100 53-56 3/8"x24 Male End & 5/8"x18 External Male with 3/8"x24 Female Female End 17 1/8" OAL

so I guess if you used an adapter into the wheel cylinder maybe, there are also short sections of brake line available that have one size fitting on one end and another (usually smaller) on the other, that way you can run 3/16" line to your Master Cylinder or Wheel Cylinder with out the use of an adaptor.

So ask your local Napa or Car Quest if you can use their illustratd guide and EARLY brake book, it will take a minute to cross refrence part numbers vs illustrations (the pics show thread ends & give dimensions), but it will show you your options. Also, you can scan the illustrations to find a length that fits your application.
    I hope this helps.

Okay this is what I found:

    These are all Rayestos #'s

    Stock (15.56") BH 7600

    1" longer (16.62") BH 4497

    2" longer BH 33676

    3" longer BH 36563

These will fit the early ford passenger wheel cylinder and have a 7/16" 24t female on the other end.

I'm dealing with replacing my brakes A-Z on my '48 F1. Every single thread from the master cylinder to the wheel cylinders are 3/16. This truck has never been touched since it was born, so I'm thinking that info is off.
