Did a bunch of wrenching over the years...but new here. I just picked up a 49 1/2 ton Chevy..it appears it has been restored/modified a bit. I took it for a spin and the steering seems to have a bunch of play. First things first - do the pics show a MK2 suspension? Also are those boots to close to the rack bolts? Is there a problem with the original install?

Any help getting me familiar would be awesome.

Second Question, anyone know a builder out in New Lenox, IL (Tom Kelly) possibly relation to the notable pin striper...

It doesn't look right somehow. The cross member resembles a Welder Series kit but I don't recognize the lower "A" arm. The rack should be forward and lower than it is so it can be level with the lower arm at ride height.Need a few more pictures.

Aaggie, thank you for your help - spoke with Welders Series today and it is not their crossmember, however DW said it may be Ch***is Engineering (looks like it) adjustable ride height - and the lower arms may be Heidts....again thank you both for the help..spacers are on the way..why not there - who knows???

Again - anyone who knows who built this would love to know...
