Yes, I am thinking about ford maroon colors. Or 1948 vw bordeaux rot. Ford mayfair maroon, Mosselle maroon. Maybe Mandarin maroon?
The older I get the more I appreciate the stock 32 factory colors. Or, something real close but maybe with a little metallic or whatever to make it just a hair different from stock.
Maroon should certainly be on the list to consider Factory colors, What about Washington blue? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Mike: There's a wide selection of colors that would be great on the 5 wndw. Maroon family is high on my list as well. Green is very important to me but I can't envision it on a '32 5wndw. It could be done but I've had a desire to go maroon (ish) for a long time. Depends on wheels, tires, chrome? (as in bumpers etc). Hope I didn't muddy the waters to bad. Tim
Agreed on the factory colors, washington blue. Is that the same as Brizio has on a '32 with a alu 509 . That color is gorgeus!!!!
Studebaker had some great metallic and non-metallic colors in 1950. Heres an image of the paint chart: http://www.raylinrestoration.com/Stuff/Paint/50PaintSyn-T.jpg
Well i'm leaning toward a blue myself only....i'll just throw this out there regardless......50's pearl royal or sapphire blue with a white firewall, roof insert, and running boards whitewalls and full size moon discs....you hardly see pearl or candy on hot rods anymore If youre leaning toward a darker color there is a Model A gunmetal blue that is really nice
A frame rotissirie using engine stands. I am so stealing that idea. I cannot tell you how much this thread has given me the incentive to do things with sheet metal I wouldn't have dreamed of three years ago. Thank you for the time and effort to put it all on display.
