Looks good Roy, give me a call tonight.
I'm still working on the garage/shop. I've got almost everything out of storage and I've been cleaning up now and organizing. I got the Tiki bar built because I need beer when I work. Now I need music some I'm building CD racks and a stereo cabinet out there. I also got a great 1940's industrial metal bandsaw that we worked on this weekend. And then I put my SBC and ****** back together after HarmsWay (Dennis) and his son Cody came down and picked up the 34 Plymouth. It was a good weekend.

Just finished welding together some headers for my '64 NewYorker-project.
Will sandblast them hopefully tomorrow and throw some paint on them to keep them from rusting any further and the make the engine bay look a bit cleaner.

Ditched a problematic alternator, attached & wired in a voltage regulator to a different alternator (both parts "new" to my '57 Effie), tackling other wiring issues, waitin' up for a friend to paint in some Fighting Tiger-style shark teeth on the truck's front fenders, instead ended up having 2 neighbors get in a big barking match in my garage, one of them ended up calling the cops over it (nothing I'm involved, except for living above one and beside the other and letting either one visit me in the garage).
When the cop shows up to get my side o' the story, he keeps taking in the Super Bowl on the TV. I'm kinda convinced local p.d. end up seeing the whole game but from several different TVs at various house calls. But before then, the weather was good and so were the oldies on the shop radio.

Got a good start on insulating the garage at my new house. As well as got about half the cabinets hung. Didn't get it done, but made a damn big dent.

We finally got Stickylifter's ride ready to move under it's own power after the chop smoothing/repaint. I think he'll do well at Autorama, his car looks killer with flattened black enamel paint!

  17. Welded the new perches on the Camaro rear and got it hung in the '51. With the skirts on, only the whitewall and a tiny bit of the steely is visible below the skirts. Also got the suspension mocked up in the front and welded in the shock mounts. Put the front fender back on to make sure the tire was centered in the wheel-well. Not only does it sit perfectly, but the new ride height is amazing! The body is 4" off the ground at ride height and it sits on the frame with the bags deflated.

    Roy,

That looks nice. I am glad to see you are working on it. Is that the steering gear you found and was going to put in your roadster?

I got my garnishes painted and finished the exhaust. My car is now at the stripper and I will begin final ***embly on the ch***is this weekend.

What did I get done this weekend? To quote Peter Gibbons in 'Office Space': "Nothing. And it was all I ever hoped it could be"

Pulled the flattie and three speed out of the '53. Slid in a 302 and AOD. Spent yesterday fabbing up motor mounts, I guess that would be singular, I gotta do the other one today, then fab the ****** mount. I'm hoping to use the '53 radiator, but the 302 is pretty long.

Anybody know if there is such a thing as a short water pump for a 302? Anyway got some ground to cover before the weather warms back up. Gonna rewire the whole car while I'm at it.

Are you running the serpintine set up? The water pump from a Explorer V8 has the shortest water pump [ 5-1/2''] I belive, but you have to also run the timing cover with it and its for serp drive!

  25. picked up a 31 model a 2door and a 26 es*** 2 door
    both cars are near mint
same guy sold me a tig machine, 4 ft break, 4 foot shear, beverly shear, and some other misc sheet metal working stuff
not an oune of work done on my rides though:(

Not a short pump, use a timing cover & water pump off a 95 mustang....shortens the ***'y up by about an inch & a half. Real odd looking pump. 95 only.

Spent the weekend sorting **** in the garage for the 302 build & most of sunday machining / prepping the block, crank & heads. Should be a nice package when it's done
