    Coincidence?
The Chrondeck Co. was based in Laverne Ca. right next door to Parker Ave.

Wow, stacked up like cord wood--cool shot Gary
Look close, the heaviest names of 60's drag racings' heavy hitters.
    Don Garlits
    Ed Pink
    Joe Mondello

From front to rear: Pink's Old Master maybe with Swingle driving as I can't see Snively's name on the cowl, The Vagabond (Gary Ormsby), Big, Bobby Langley and Dusty Rhodes. One more between Big and Bobby but a bit hard to identify from only a front wheel.

One from the George Klass files...not sure but this might be early Warren Welch from Reno, who ran a successful string of "Shoehorn" rear engined dragsters, starting with flathead power and ending with blown Chev...If I remember correctly, this car used bungee cords for its front suspension (corrections welcome)

Another from George, I have no idea whose Bantam C/C this is, but it is too cool not to post again, for those who love C/C Bantams

    Rundle-Brothers.jpg
The caption for this photo is "Rundle Bros." but I'm pretty sure that this is Weeks & Noble injected fuel Desoto-powered competition sedan. Background suggests this is either Arizona or Inyokern...

    s&e_turney.jpg
Steinegger & Eisenbaugh...(I probably spelled both wrong, doing this from what's left of memory, corrections welcome)...I think that this was a Stuckey car with an experimental Hilborn injector with just one butterfly...

    photo3.jpg
Speed Sport, near side, not sure who is in the far lane...

    se-(Small).jpg
Steinegger and Eisenbaugh (also probably misspelled!!)

    se-1-1-640x393.jpg
Steinegger & Eisenbaugh briefly tried this wedge MoPar on fuel...somewhere there is a picture of it puking the bottom end on the starting line...that is probably why they turned to the hemis they later raced..

This photo was captioned "Sweetwater dam, but look at the photo and it faintly says "Paradise Mesa," near San Diego, but closed in the mid or late '50s....one of the really early drag strips in the country...I can't identify any of the competitors...

    Kenny Lindley's "Mis-fire" at Bakersfield, probably '59
