Lenses are easy to find...rust free housings are not. Contact Mike Woodard in Washington state for the gaskets that mount between the housing and the headlight base.
Yeah, I wondered about the housing/bezel.... Oh wait, are you talking about the cup the gl*** sits "in" or the bezel that holds the gl*** in?? The cups, I have 2 serviceable units, but the gl*** and bezel that holds it in I only have 1 of each. Although, it's rumored a second lense may show up here! I was wondering if I could make bezels with 2 simple hammerforms.
I was amazed when I went for some hammerforming. It really works well and is simple enough so that if it doesn't turn out on the first try, you can make some changes and try again. No big deal!
I think the hard part might be some sort of punch for the inner and outer oval shapes.... I don't think I have the tools to cut those shapes very well... I guess I might be able to cut the outer shape with the air nibbler. The inner oval shaped hole, not so much... Hmmmmmm wait a minute... If the hammerform allowed the indent for the inner oval to push in beyond the location of the finished edge, I could just cut off the "extra" from the side with a cutoff wheel.... Hmmmmmmm... Now that I think about it, the same method could work for the outer oval too....
I went to the garage and looked at mine. The back side can be trimmed on a belt sander. The front I would make a template from your original, use that to scribe a trim line, then carefully rough out the center and file or Dremel to the line. I'm not sure I would put the extra little revel line in the part, that might become a PIA.
