Anybody know if anything came with steel wheels 15", 4 1/2" bolt pattern with 3" or less backspacing? Trying to mount 235/75R15 tires on the rear of our '40 chevy pickup and they hit the inner fender. Pickup has a '57 ford 9" so the rear is pretty narrow as is... thanks-
...if you don't find wheels that fit, maybe just use a wheel spacer,..3/4 to 1 inch would give enuf clearance, mite need longer wheel studs ...or you could have a pair of rims reversed.
looked at 15x6? - lots of models/years : '65-'78 Galaxie,T-Bird, etc//'73-'09 Ranger PU//68-85 1/2 F100 PU & 1/2 E100 van, etc
Those full size trucks (early rangers are full size trucks)and vans are gonna be 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, also some of the ford cars lincolns etc are 5 on 5 I think there is a (maybe rare?) full size ford truck, "1982" (I think?) thats 5 on 4.5
low budget - may want to re- check info on 4 1/2 vs 5 1/2 for Ford trucks/vans: http://www.wheelsupport.com/ford-bolt-patterns/
It does say that the"15s" on the E100 vans only came with 5 on 5.5 and the 5 on 4.5 on the f150s were 80 to 85 without power brakes only (not just 82) ........to be honest now that I think about it I do remember the older E100 vans maybe 72ish back being the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern but I didnt know they were some that went up to 84 that pattern and definately didnt remember any of em being 14s, especially up to 84 .............but anyway thanks for straightening me out, I thought I was gonna get away with acting like I knew something there for a minute
Maybe some Studebaker wheels? I know they are 15 inch and 5x4.5, and fairly narrow. No idea on backspacing though.
......AAAAAND.....BACK TO BACKSPACING.......I happen to need the same information as the originator of this post.....any help??
