I also like the idea you're using the original wheels...those wide fives just look right on a '36

Getting closer. .. Motor and transmission in. T5 didn't want to play with the clutch and bell housing combo tho.. little input shaft modification, back in business. Started building a seat frame. Also hung front sheet metal in order to fit a radiator. .. want this thing on the road!

Could you provide some additional info on the wheel adapters?
    quality/cost/vendor?
    Thanks.

So far.. the wheel adapters are great. Of course I haven't go be over 20 mph yet. :) they were from highway 101 . Not sure of the current prices. I was impressed with the quality though.

Well I guess number one is, I knew the four banger would not be a powerhouse. However, with the 5sp and 3.73 gear it gets it down the road really good. I think it is a 70 mph pickup. (Tops)... Number 2, the brakes need some work. I guess it's just been a long time since I've driven something with manual drum brakes at all four corners. I really need to learn how to adjust the 40' Ford brakes upfront correctly. Other than that I'm going to fix some squeaks and rattles, put the hood top on it, and drive it. Love it so far. Thanks guys.

Yes, this really does make a difference. I know there have been threads about it and there's always Tardel's booklet on the subject.
