Thanks Waxhead, I picked up some more drum brakes last week from a guy from the early ford V8 club, the fronts have been machined and relined.
I fitted the headlights to the roadster I got at Toowoomba swapmeet I think they might be Oldsmobile and I used Bedford truck headlight stands, I made brackets that are just tacked to the frame at the moment. I also got the cowl and doors to line up
Nice job on the roadster, love a v8s!....what is the truck beside it , looks cool too! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I riveted the side brackets to the windshield, not much else happening with the roadster. I started on the marker lights, but i'm not happy with the results so far.
I will start working on the roadster in the new year, I got a Crafty B vintage racer filler cap for Christmas. I got it unassembled to save some money, with our dollar going down the toilet.
I made up some pedals for the roadster, the clutch pedal is cut down from a 34 truck. The bracket was from the truck too, redrilled and a plate welded on the bottom to fit the brake booster. The brake pedal is store bought with a larger bush welded in to fit the truck bracket.
I made the bottom of the battery box with the same copper rivets, and changed the rear floor frame tube from 1X2" to a 1 X 1" to fit the battery.
I got most of the trunk floor panels in today , I just need to rivet the tailshaft cover. and battery box in.
I have made some progress on the roadster in between customer work, I have working steering, brake and clutch pedals in, and most of the floors done.
