1950-Dodge Wayfair.jpg The front fenders on this 1950 Dodge Wayfarer, split at the belt line and the joint was hidden by long stainless trim piece. I found that out on mine when a fire hydrant creased the driver's side back in the day.

Maggie\'s.jpg …. ah but we tinks we caught something here boys as things just didn't seem right about the photo for supposedly having been taken in the 1950's. Not implying anything but the best from the original poster but we believe this is a staged photo and was taken in much more recent years. Here are some of the clues to take note of in increasing order of importance: The construction barricades, the license plates and tags, the bicycle, the parking meter and lastly and more importantly, the bar across the street. Can anyone tell me the answers to these clues and solve the mystery and there may be some more so can you spot them ?

  6. When I first looked at that sequence of pics I thought they looked too 'clean'. A quick check on Google shows that is what Maggie McGarrys looks like today. It opened in 2006 - http://www.maggiemcgarrys.com/ Those look like quite recent coloured plastic trash bins in the background. I think 1963 was the first year for black plates as seen on the GMC pick up.

Even though I live on the other side of the Pacific Ocean I have been to SF a couple of times but not to that actual part of town.

Mrs Macs meat pies - a West Australian delicacy - mostly for the not-so-delicate, but they are really tasty on a cold day at the footy.
