Well, I just made a deal on a 34 Ford truck with a 305 Automatic in it, and I hope to have it on the road in a few months. Nothing big left on it, but a bunch of little things. But here's my question, and please don't rag on me too hard...
How possible is it to hook up a ****onless shifter (say for example, a swan neck Gennie shifter) to the Automatic ******? I've seen it done, but just wasn't sure how it would work safety wise... Thanks in advance for not roughin me up too bad ;)

Well... I had planned on opening this thread replying:
"I've always been told the only stupid question is a question not asked...but this takes the cake...."

But, uhh, duhh, I 'm not even sure what ****on you're talking about, LOL:D

My bad, what I meant to explain is the push ****on on the side of most automatic floor shifters. Maybe I am thinking to hard about this, maybe it's been too long of a day... Now that I think of it, this really was a dumb post haha. I should take a break from being awake for a while...

  4. i think you mean a shifter that doesn't have a ****on on it like a Lokar. the Gennie shifter does not have that ****on , but has a reverse lock out and a gate like a column shifter. both are safe and easy to install
