    SEEK and DESTROY!
Cars of the thirties were a shameful indication of poorness in the 50's, thus to be destroyed.
In the Europe most of the people were poor, but in spite of that it was more acceptable to ride a bicycle or tiny BMW Isetta than roomy and reliable 20 yrs old american car...

Gary, you post lots of great photos from days gone by - this is not one of them.
It doesn't matter if it's cool or not, it does not belong in this thread as it's clearly a CGI.
    Just my opinion.

It's not a ''Silver Hawk'', most probably it's a 1955 Studebaker Champion Regal Coupe.

  9. Me too. I have a big Pinterest page with photos of "vintage" camping.

I believe this is a Jaguar XK-SS, a badassed little piece. I think 9 of them were produced using leftover bits and pieces of the XK-D and the new XK-E with the E engine. Jag made a few of them and decided to do a production run when the factory burned down and all was lost.

  11. I don't think so, just not right.

  12. It isn't "CGI", it's a model of cities of the future, circa 1950's.

Funny, I don't remember hearing about this in school, or even during my youthful, "hippie" days.
