Our paint shop no longer makes custom tint spray cans. I have a good PPG paint number and some left over paint but mixing, cleaning, etc to just shoot a bolt head or small bracket is a pain. What are you guys doing? Is there someone who makes custom spray cans that would ship without charging me $50 a can?

    Thanks

  2. my local Napa store puts paint in spray cans , maybe yours does too?

  3. I`m cheap...uh I mean frugal. I use a small touch up gun. Not really a big deal to mix/spray/cleanup. I would be tempted to by an offshore airbrush for tiny stuff like bolts.

Go to a paint store. They will have a product made by Preval. it is a cartrigde with a small gl*** jar that screws on to it.
Mix the paint, put it in the jar screw it to the preval and spray.

Those Preval sprayers work good small projects, over the years I've sprayed lacquer, Dulux, Centari, even used them for 2K surfacer.

Tower Paint in Wisconsin will mix any color and put it in spray cans even BC/CC. Plus they have hardened paint and flexible paint in spray cans too.

As mentioned, the preval system is the best way to go. You just have to thin out your paint a little to be sure it pushes through, also do not fill the jar all the way ( I read the instructions for once) And as mentioned you can topcoat it really nice with Max Spray 2K Clear.really nice with Max Spray 2K Clear. I shot the fire wall with it, hard to tell how nice it is in these pics.
