why is it that people don't take into account that your time and labor go into the value of a car.

if you add up all of his time, looking for parts, fabing brackets, busted knuckles, and ***embly of the car i bet that he has ALOT more money in the car than he's asking.

Back when I hauled my $25 Hot Rod Model A coupe home, my Mom told me that if I got a Minimum wage job, saved all the money, and bought a car with it all restored and ready to go I'd have less time and money into it.

    She was right.

I doubt that if you can put even a dollar an hour "labor rate" on your old Hot Rod when it comes time to sell it...Even your $25,000 Hot Rod...

I still have my first Model A...It's now my 13 year old son Dan's project. Time for him to burn himself and learn...

But it sure is fun..and I still have the scars from my first Model A...

Loved your article. Ive been building hot rods for over 50 years, and we didn't take it so seriously then. They were just old cars, and more fun when they were!

And all the old tin laying out in a field has 10 more years of rust on it!
