I have seen several different styles on mostly '33 and '34 and '40 Fords to protect the "chin" if you come in contact with speed bump or other hazard. 5/8" or 3/4" round rod bent to shape and then chromed. You will have to fab one yourself or have someone make one for you.
Sam Foose did the best one I have seen, made one with a discreet wheel in it. Years ago, I have never forgot it...
Ideal for protecting the grill shell from the parking lot barriers. And yeah, you will probably have to fabricate one for your specific car or truck. HRP
Have seen a few. One on a '40 Chevy made with a steel industrial caster. It would be easy to make but I think paint would be better than chrome and attach to the frame instead of the grille shell.
McMillan's (MacMillan's?) makes a chin bar nerf bar set up for 33-34 fords that would work. I bet you can make one as well.
I made this one for 35 Willys as I needed a license plate holder. It looks like a nerf bar yes. but with a removable pin on each one the hooks and plate come off and then a tow bar can be installed without tools to tow if necessary. It is also a chin guard for the front sheet metal. JB
