I was checking out an old car sometime last week or maybe the week betore and rounded a garage ,there I met a 770lb pit-bull ,my brother insists it was a 7 lb poodle but anyway he was running out of chain but not near as fast as I would like.
I did manage to fall over a retaining wall and got to go on a ride in the big truck with lights that flash.
Two days of Mri's, ultrasounds and Dr's that don't speak engrish and they found the Two piece vertabra's.
I missed the drug revolution and have ask myself many times why everyone was so caught up in it. The first night I was in pain worse than I could ever imagine. The warmth and relaxation that would come over me when they hit me with the Morphine was WOW.
I am in a coccon outfit and am not sure what happens now, they are talking about Epoxy but I don't like the idea of anything glueing my backbone together.
Well time for my medication and Jerry Springer is on Later!!

NURSE, NURSE TIME FOR MY SPONGE BATH!!

Everyone knows that a backbone needs to be TIG welded back together. Hope you heal and get back to it soon! :)

I feel for ya there JoeCool. I got the works in my back, the epoxy, nuts, rods, cages, cadaver bone, and what appear to be very expensive titanium lag bolts.

Get well soon, enjoy the drip!! :p

I've seen that dog before, he was more like 800lbs. But this one pulled the chain out of the ground. :D

Get well soon, or something corny like that.

Wow sorry to hear about your injury, hope you get better soon. At least you have time to work on a real killer story about how you broke your back.
Let's see, they told me NO ONE could jump 50 semi trailers......

    Enjoy your drugs.:D

  8. I had some back surgery a few months ago. Yeah the Morphine works really well. Had one nurse ask me non-stop if she could give me a bath. My wife looked at me, told me it was my one free pass :D Of course, I graciously declined. Tman can attest to it, my wife could probably beat the shit out out of me, not that she's big or I'm small, just plain ole mean :D Just kidding Kelly, hope she doesn't read this. Hope you get to feeling better. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after I woke up.

    Hey Pete:

I managed to avoid any serious contact with the medical profession until 3 months ago when they picked up rectal cancer............oops!

Anyway, since then I know WAY MORE than I really want to know about medical stuff - but speaking of nurses..............I ended up in the hospital between Christmas and New Years for 5 days (via the emergency room) due to a reaction to Chemotherapy.

About 2:00 AM the first night this absolutely angelic Nurse appeared to take down my history. By this time I was hooked-up 6 ways from Sunday to all kinds of machines and tubes and was slightly on the 'goofy' side. This girl (young enough to be my grandaughter) just totally brightened up my day (night?). ..............But, she never came back! :(

I do have a new respect for nurses, no matter their age or appearance!!!!

By the way - and this is even farther of topic - Your name is 'FarmallPete" - so I've got to tell you I've got a an 'M', 'H', 3 'C's, a 450 and an F-20, and I run them all.

  10. Sorry to hear that you are in for some corrective action on your back. Be nice to the nurses and they will treat you better. My wife is a RN and a little kindness on the patient's part makes their life much better. Most nurses are overworked and can not give all the care to patient's they would like to.

    Hey Man

If the Dr.s start talking about inserting a rod in your back, make damn sure you know where they are going to insert it from. WOOWoo.

Sounds like before it's over with, you may be setting off those metal detectors at the counthouse and airports. It would be interesting to know what will happen when you go out the door at Wal-mart or some place that has the sensors they use to detect theif. You might have some "splanning" to do.:) ;)

If you are interested in Females........you will recover ;)

After I had my heart attack and by-pass surgery ( 5 by-passes )......I was lying in the hospital bed......and thought I was 1 step from death's door. I had already died and had been revied.....

This cute young mid 20 something nurse with BIG headlights came in the room and bent over to check my IV and stuff and I looked right down her blouse and saw those wonderful headlights...on high beam......:D

I knew right then........I had things to live for, things to do.........and I was going to get better...

i bet the band Morphine would be pretty good on morphine!

yes, those ARE very expensive Ti lag bolts!:D i do work for the two biggest companies that make those implants, i ocassionally make the "plates" that they bolt to your spine with those lag bolts that a different shop makes. very expensive parts to make, for example one company uses a tapered double lead thread on their parts, they have a patent, so the other company uses a tapered triple lead thread. so all gauging and tooling has to be special made.

good luck getting fixed up JOECOOL. hope all goes well. i'd send ya some free parts if i could.:D

  22. Dem BONES, Dem BONES, Dem DEAD MAN BONES   i have a few in me, what a pain in the neck it would of been w/out them.

shittttt man ur fine then, ya got drugs, ya got big headlites staring at ya, ur screaming for a nurse to bathe u & ya got Jerry Springer, what more would a drug induced wildman want?????????

ooooooo i know, u want ur mommy :D  .....joe

  23. Sounds like a bitch of a time to me... I'm sorry to hear it.

I fucked my neck in a stock car crash... and, I never had anything done to it.
No doctor from Sri Lanka, no hot nurse (smelly or otherwise), no X-rays...
I just went to work fixing my car, so I could race the following Sunday.
That was the same day Dale Earnhardt died, and it still hurts right now.

...and, if a back bone is anything like an aluminum canoe, should the epoxy trick fail, the next doctor is gonna be pissed that he has to grind it out to fix it right. I don't know if I'd want all that epoxy dust and wire bristles from the die grinder in an open wound, anyway...

This is the route I'd take...

Hope you get better soon. That sounds painful. Good luck.

I've been dealing with a herniated disc in my lower back, for the past 4 weeks and its killing me. If its not completely numb its hurting me.

  28. Joe......I just happened to stumble over this post...didn't know anything about this until now..if you're still posting on the board, are you ok?
    Hullo? Hullo?
