So my dad has been helping me with my 46 Ford truck build off and on. He started mentioning he wanted to build something of his own. After a few months of going back and forth he decided he wanted a coupe or tudor body. At Lonestar round up I saw a 26-27 coupe body for sale. I got home and just mentioned it to him he got all excited because it was in his budget. So i called and made a deal on it. The following weekend me and him set out to San Antonio (we live in Houston) to pick up the body, then turned around and headed to Beaumont TX on the other side of Houston. After 14 hrs of driving on and off through rain and truck problems we finally made it home with a coupe body and model a rolling chassis and a few model a grills.

sorry if the pictures are to big still trying how to figure it all out

After a lot of discussion we decided and watching some cool videos and pictures we wanted to try to keep it late forties early fifties styled as much as possible. I decided to give him the drivetrain out of my 46 ford that I was no longer using. Running stock 8ba flathead and 3 speed manual and the opened banjo rear end. Also the front hydraulic drum brakes from my truck. It only made sense I planned on using all the stuff one day just not sure when. we recently asking around and found two 16in wire wheels and two 18in wire wheels for a really good price with a nice set of blc headlights.

This will booth be our first 20s-30s car build and slowly figuring out what we can all make work. We are going to try to do this as era correct**** possible. I feel like we have a solid start so far. We are now trying to figure out tire sizes so we can get a wheels on it. Then figure out how to get this little guy lowered down to a nice stance with split wish bones and using rear radius rods. any pictures info or advice would be greatly appreciated.[IMG]

Excellent looking body. I have a 26 coupe that just needs some finishing and really like the T's. It sounds like a good plan. Mine is a basic high boy style with newer engine.

Okay, that's a nice solid body!

This guy (nice fellow) made a nice frame for his car. Lot of good stuff, Vern Tardel style rear kick up, pre-fabricated boxing plates and other good stuff. You could go flat front crossmember to get it lower.

Got to the @Dennis Lacy 1932 pickup rebuild thread, for info/tech on the hottest and most slick front end known to man!!
And some good tech on brakes too!
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1932-pickup-rebuild-thread.970252/

I would run a T front spring in the rear, flip the bells ( making it spring in front) to keep the same wheelbase. Run a arm, that takes the place of the torque tube, and controls the roll of the rear axle.

I would also chop the top, just to get the window to look longer then they are tall. But not to much.
It looks good with a channeled car, but it takes s*****load of room out of a T coupe.

But you can channel it half the width of the frame, and run a 1928/29 cowl to get a better proportion with engine vs cowl.
And you could even get away with running a Model A grill shell and hood top only.

I would also paint it with some thick coats of tractor paint/industrial enamel, and run them over with 150 (on primer) 300, 600 and run the last cost with 10-15% clear coat in (of same brand). This will make the car look like a good but old paintjob, that survived.

    But you car, your call!
