Happen to see these this morning. Never knew Fenton made them. First pair I've ever seen. His buy it now is reasonable compared to what I've seen Chevy V8's go for. What other cast iron Fenton headers were made? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-Olds-Oldmobile-49-53-Fenton-Headers-Rocket-A-Rod_W0QQitemZ280072529671QQihZ018QQcategoryZ33631QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Nebber seen sumthun like dose b4. Love to have'un but can't spend that kinda scratch on'em. Guess I'll just have to look at garage sales for another 100 years.
I've got a pair that I picked up a few years back for my 303 powered A. Fenton made headers for Chevy sixes, Ford flatheads, Dodge/Plymouth flathead sixes, '49-'53 Oldsmobiles, 223 Ford sixes, 265/283 Chevies, Ford Y blocks, and Studebaker V8s (I've only seen the Stude headers in an old catalog).
In 59/60 I had a set of Fentons on a 265 in a 36 Ford 3W adapted to a 37 Cad/LaSalle box which was further adapted to the orig 36 torque tube rear end. Weak point was the rear end.
Wish I could find a SBC set without half to spend a million dollars for them. people who have them will never sell them unless like this for huge money.
ahaha, there are always rare things... but with stuff like that, i think its WAY more fun to find em somewhere than to pay $1200 and just hord shit on ebay... i personally only have one piece of rare equipment (my sharp oolds intake), i would LOVE to have a set of these... but i would never spend the money, i bought the intake on the hamb, off a great guy that ive met a few times, and got a good deal...
I know a guy that has a set of those. He has them in a small display case hanging on the garage wall. If I'm remembering right he said they were originally made for NASCAR
Way behind on this one but..... http://shop.kustomcarparts.com/Fent...ock-V-8-Chevy-Motors-headers-fenton-sbcV8.htm
dang, I get a notification on a thread about Fenton headers for early Olds I responded to eight years ago and its just a link to some Chevy crap..
