11 weeks to build a top notch ride, and you still find the time to post a great story on the interweb. That is truly fricken amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Another Bass home run, nailed the look. Like others I have been watching on FB and Instagram. But nothing compares to reading a build thread.
Really nice car, I don't care what you think, I think it is pretty much perfect ! 11 weeks, very impressive. I've been working on mine for ten years.....
Forgot to add, I love the photos of the car against the red wall. Your photos are as well done as the car.
Ron, they might be. I have two pairs, the ones I got from you and another pair I got from a local guy. I can't remember which ones are which anymore. Flip, I'll be forever grateful to you, buddy. If not for you, I'm sure I'd still be years away from a '32 Roadster of my own. Hopefully I can get you that ride in it sooner than later. I used a large chunk of the money from the '29 roadster to buy Willys parts and build the 392 for it. The engine is done now except for paint, headers, and building carbs. I'm not sure when I'm going to get back to it, but I'm really looking forward to it. It is going to be a lot more polished than the roadster, so it's going to take considerably longer. Thanks! Tires are 4.50/4.75-16 in front and 7.50-16 in rear. I'm considering putting 5.00-16 Firestone ribbed tires on the front, but I'm still not positive about that.
Bass - holy crap! Your skills, creativity, and taste amaze me. That is one awesome roadster....one of the best I've seen lately. I love it. And when I read you are only 38 - wow! Great job.
Just incredible! I'd take that "beater" in my garage ANY day (tongue in cheek). Mr. Bass, you are an artist!!
In the way that Baskerville's roadster will always have primer spots on the fenders, there's something about the unpainted steel spots on yours that gives it a really bitchin' vibe. I know they are going away, but the way it sits right now is a pretty damn acceptable stopping point.
Can you tell us more about the seat pan? I'm thinking that's not stock 32, but made from a later car, to give you more butt room. It's probably an old trick I have missed.
What else can be said? I guess just take all the comments, (because they are all positive) and mash em all together and that would represent my feelings on this car.
