I've messed-up plenty of pics of vintage racecars through the years - panning's tough ! At least with the advent of digital photography , you don't have tons of wasted 35mm pics you waited a week to get back (like it used to be) .

With digital, if it works anything like it used to with film, try increasing your shutter speed. Maybe 400+ ? And drop the aperture. Those should freeze the subject while blurring the background.

I've been to this show a few time and without a doubt some of the best, traditional rods on the planet. The quality and originality of some of them are beyond amazing. It's like walking thru a museum but with food, music and other hot scenery.

 

Nice shot of Tony's '56, even with the for sale sign.

 

It was hot Saturday - at 10:30 it was 97, at 11:00 I was gone. We seem to attend some of the same shows, but I always like your pics. They fill in stuff I didn't get to. Tom, thanks very much for your efforts
