I'm looking for a referral to someone who can rebuild a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr V12 engine for me. I have the engine dis***embled with all hardware bagged/boxed/labeled and ready to be shipped. I am in Seattle, but happy to ship engine to someone who specializes in these engines anywhere in the U.S.
Vern Tardel's shop in Santa Rosa, CA did a hopped up one for a close friend, runs hard and sounds great.
I'm not sure, haven't been up there in years, I've heard it many times, yet he still keeps plugging away. I know Bing was building engines there up until he p***ed away. Could also try SF flatheads, though they may only do V8's
H&H Flatheads show V-12s a**** their turn key engines, so you might check with them. http://www.flatheads-forever.com/images/galleries/turnkey_motors/003.jpg
My girls Father has a 46 Continental, when he bought it it came with a bunch of paperwork including the receipt for the engine rebuild- $99.00 Don't think they are still in business though.
Son, you are gonna drive me to drinking with that Hot Rod Lincoln. [emoji41] Are you building a roadster with a Hot Lincoln? I always imagined that Captain Cody drove a lake style roadster with a V12. Tonneau cover and channel over the frame, with the drive all the way down on the floor. Only a white helmet over the tonneau cover, and no wind shield. Full hood and No fjenders. Sorry for the thread jacking, but I'm actually THAT curious! [emoji33][emoji2][emoji12]
I have talked with Dennis Perino in Denton Texas about doing one for my car. His machine shop is well known around my parts for his work on vintage ford engines.
