I am gathering information on interior paint for the old beast. I have paint chips for the car. I see where I have a Body and Fenders of 252 on the paint tag which corresponds to 246-2048 Black DUCO. It looks like a 70 or 79 in regards to the trim. Only two digits.

The Dupont paint chip has 252 with a vermillion molding stripe and wheel stripe with Black Dulux wheels. This is if I keep the original colors.
What I cannot determine is what 70 or 79 means and does that include the dash, window garnish and instrument. They are all some sort of brown.

Any ideas or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Looking to build a original looking car but frame is being built now with fat man front, S10 rear, 1959 348 with three deuces and such over at Hot Rod Fabricators.

    Thanks!

I'd choose interior material and color match to that, or go a couple shades off the interior fabric color in the same color family.

Thanks Indyips. I can take a piece down and match it and of course do what you suggested. I guess I was more trying to figure out just what I had in regards to trim and also what color options were in 39 Chevys if I decided to make a original, lowered car with the different drive train.

Great board and great advice and information. I have bought a few parts off of here as well.

    Thanks
