I just built a car with Ford Banjo rear end, stock brakes. What is the process for adjusting the brake shoes with those two cams? Pretty simple mechanism but I ***ume there is a 'proper' process in adjustment.

Adjust the cam at the top of the forward brake shoe first. Followed by the rear shoe. If the brakes need further adjustment then turn the anchor pins at the bottom of the shoe toward each other.

What series do you have? The 40 style with adjusters on bottom and sides, or the 48s with adjusters only on top? If the 40, do the bottom anchors first, then the sides. If the 48s you can only adjust the sides by hand, the bottoms are supposed to adjust themselves. It may take a bit of driving (and stopping) for the self-adjust bottom anchors to find themselves.

  4. adjusting them often is a good idea too.

Here's how you adjust the 40 Ford Lockheed brakes.
