showbox?? Assuming you are talking a 49-51. The dish of the Buick wheel cover requires a fairly deep dished wheel to fit. Unfortunately I know of no Ford wheel that is deep enough, and all the Cadillac or Buick wheels that would accept the covers have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. If you promise never to lose a wheel cover, one type of rim that should work would be one of the "wagon" wheels which can usually be found pretty cheap since nobody in their right mind would want them. As long as you lose the stripes no one would be the wiser once the wheel covers were on . . .
Lol showbox i guess i dont type so good lol yeah the wagon wheels probably would work but dang those are ugly would be bad if ya got caught without the caps on for sure
Maybe these ugly wheels would work too lil less ugly than the wagon wheels still wouldnt wanna be seen without the caps on tho
Good luck. The Buick are the deepest "Sombreros", which makes them one of the nicest wheel covers of all , IMHO. Buick had perhaps the widest wheel of its day, and many rods used their rims on other centers (especially on the back). Fords and Chevys of the day, with their low rear wheel arches and narrow wheels, just don't have the fender space for such a wheel, especially when lowered. Otherwise, I believe the Buick may have been the "Go-to" cap for many customs. The nearest thing would be the dished Lincoln Premier cover (not as deep, nor as vintage.) It always surprises me when a custom Buick owner opts for a different cap. They may not know how lucky they are.
I have the same caps for my 55' Super. I had some of the black steel wheels that basically replaced the white wheels in the late 90's and the cap fit fine. The black ones are just as cheap, come in many sizes, offsets etc and wont be quite as nnoticeable if you lose a cap. I didn't use them, just had one laying around so I tried it.
