looking for ideas for rear side windows. Bought a 50 suburban and it came with fixed windows. Tried looking for the original sliding windows with no luck, if anyone has please let me know. In the meantime I was thinking of re cutting vent windows from a caravan. Need to create airflow to the rear of the car. Thanks

heh...I took the sliders out of my 57 (they were rusty, as were the two other sets I had). I replaced them with fixed windows. Not a problem for me....but I don't ride in back either.

There is a lot more to converting back to sliders the just getting the glass. Not a cheap venture, which is probably why the PO of your burb went 1 piece. A few pieces not being repopd like the pulls/stainless dividers. They maybe a challenge to locate if you don't have them. For the rubber/window felt tracks check Jim carters or Steele products, both have them. I have heard Steele is higher quality and easier to work with. These windows are a big pain to install due to bending the felt channel into shape.

A few things to get you started

Windows will be cheaper if you can get a pattern and have cut by a local glass shop. Here is a place that has the patterns and will cut them for you. IIRC north of 750 for the 8 windows from them.
