Got around and got the maltese crosses painted on the doors of the pickup and next I'll letter them and add a few more touches to the exterior. I also picked up this awesome single red rotating "cherry" for the top, I think its the perfect size and it works. I'm gonna power it with a small batter that will fit within the unit so it will be totally self contained and it came with magnets to hold it to the top so I dont have to drill any holes.
Nice ride. I recently purchased this truck for my dad from a fellow hamber. The decals are not staying but where on there for the surprise reveal as this was his radiator shop for 23 years. Good luck with yours.
Well I made a little more progress in the past few weeks on the ol '66. Got the cross lettered up and did some artwork to it and then shot a little red over it and then started sanding it back off to get the look I was wanting. Then I started adding some old fire dept. gear and equipment to give it an authentic look. I've got an old Motorola radio coming along with some other items that should make it look even more period correct.
