Purchased an older Mopar 360 motor and had it rebuilt. Now trying to get it running and bought a new Summit Mopar small block distributor and ignition kit. When I tried to install it the shaft is about 1/2" too short and does not engage the oil pump slot. Do I really have a 360??

  2. Ask the guy that rebuilt it, he had to buy parts for something and should have some idea what he bought.

ALL small block Mopar distributors are interchangeable. Something else is wrong, maybe the dist in the box is for a 383/400?

...yeah...½" is huge. You have some incorrect parts somewhere.

1/2" too short Mopar SB distributor? Sounds like a early hemi application. Did they give you the right Part number?
