Event Coverage N.E. Dragway Hot Rod Reunion PICTURES

It is a great show, unfortunately I cant make it this year. However, I think the NHRA needs to spread the word a bit themselves. They need local reps to go to all the bigger local shows and set up a booth, had out flyers and ask questions. Relying on someone to stumble across the event mysteriously on the internet if they are not searching for it wont bring boots through the gate. They need to canvas the East Coast from Virginia up to Maine and out to Ohio and back. Radio spots on oldies stations, rock stations in New England wouldnt hurt but may not have the return for the investment.
I know many people in the lower part of New England that have heard about it but never get any advanced info for the shows. Now they have changed the date, this usually doesnt end well.

I hope it continues as it is a great show. I hope the location isn't scarring people away as it is a little bit of a drive from everywhere else but NH and Maine.

I was there last year and after going to the KY show the last three or four years the one in NE was a let down, but it was just the 2ed year. It has all the stuff to make a super show and it will. The good shows don't just happen it takes time. I did enjoy the show an had a good time. Hope to be in the NE area this year so I can go again.

Anyone else still waiting for their tickets? Sent my check in to NHRA in early May. My bank statement showed they cashed it in June. So I called CA yesterday. Seems they just mailed it out, expect it will take a week from CA by regular mail so should have it early in August. Will say young lady on the phone took time to research it and give me an answer, she was polite too. I was spurred to check by a friend at cruise night last week who said he called them the week before and had his tickets last week. Made me wonder.
Still no marketing I can see to the potential spectators. Some of the clubs involved with NED are putting those adv cards in cars at cruise nights. Can't find a FB page for the NEHRR and the FB page for New England Dragway isn't covering the HRR yet.
