Sorry to hear that. Brings it home when its another HAMBer... Sure seemed like a decent guy from looking over his posts. He hasn't been on in a some time...guess he was sick for a while... Rest in Peace "Roadsavage".
Met Marty for the first time at the Rat Fink gathering in Wendover. That purple 4 door convert of his was awesome, and he drove it all over the goddam country. There were few attendees at the party, but we all made the best of it. Marty ,Moldy, Bert The shirt, Dana and I were laughing so hard that tears were streaming down all our faces,, What a great time. Out at the dragstrip Marty had my bumpercar doin a wheelstand. What a great guy... Some people you just connect with, and Marty was one of those... I miss you Marty- We're all a little less today...
Sorry to hear about Marty's p***ing He was a great guy and a lot of fun to be around, When he popped that wheelie in Chuck's bumpercar the look on his face was priceless. I could hardly believe he drove that old ******* Chevy all the way from Seattle, but he loved every mile. Miss ya Marty and wish I coulda got to know you better!! Dana
Sad news indeed. If you have even the smallest interest in cars....don't let your first post be your last. That Chevy and the Buick are both great ways to keep his memory alive. Condolences, Steve
Never met Marty but remember seeing some of his posts, sounds like he was a top drawer guy so god speed to you Marty.
I mourn for all of us that must watch others move on before getting to know one another. Thanks for your life and reminding us all how short life is. RIP
i hated to get the call from marty's mom fri., but it was expected........marty had made most of the arrangements himself over the last year, (that had to be hard) so i will be there as a paul bearer per his wishes,If you are going to the services, car club jackets,& jeans are the preferred attire for the car guys..remember we were just a part of marty's life, so there will be millatary buddies in uniform, highschool friends in suits, & car guys looking like we do... most of you will never meet a nicer guy in your life! last year at the bash, we had a trophy called marty's pick, this is & will always be the highest award you will ever get at the show, marty got to give the first one..... he left ideas for us to follow from now on for who gets it.....I will miss you bro.............chip
