Oddy and them guys have a really good deal going and they put on a good show. (I'm very good friends with Oddy we raced pro mod against each other for years) There deal seams to be more AA/Gas around the early 60s late 70s rules with 4 link ,long wheelie bars, bigger tire, and low to the ground type stuff. We are trying to stay around 60 to 67 era. The other difference is there deal is big and takes a lot of work for someone to keep going with sponsors and race bookings. We don't want ours to become a job. For me to stay involved it has to be fun I already have a car that is a full time job. It sounds like you have the same idea on building a g***er as I do don't change your plan if I can help let me know.

Thanks, If I still lived in Thomasville, NC (5 yrs) it would be a no brainer. Jim Oddy and John Rossiter are great guys. Jim's current car is a ladder bar car as are most cars in the group. They do a couple races in Virginia, maybe some promoter could book in both groups sometime.

  3. That would be really cool, to have a great group of blown, and unblown G***ers all at the same event, bringing down the house!

The blower cars are alcoholics though, but I'd love to have a deal where we can bring some of the more period AA cars and Quains deal to a track. It would be a blast.

Micky that would be cool even though we run a lot slower than ya'll I think that it would be a good show. Let's put it together.

Yeah, what those old style g***ers may lack in speed, they make up in entertainment value. Those guys trying to hold those things in a straight line, while wa-wa-waing down the track banging the gears left us holding our breath on the edge of our seats back in the day. I image they may still have that effect on the fans. --- Steve ---

We don't turn the score boards on or let them tell our times when we run at most local tracks and the fans think we are the fastest cars there. That's why we have a lot of the rules the way we do so they don't look like slot cars going down the track.

Quain, lets touch base, maybe we can get something rolling somewhere to get a booking someplace. I've got kind of a full plate between the AA group races all summer but towards the fall it opens up and my Ohio guys may be up for it
