Hi there everyone. Well the time has finally come for me to leave Corpus Christi, and Head on up to SAN ANTONIO. My wife and son are already here, My daughter and I are finishing school, the House, and Packing all our stuff up. I graduate in May with my ***ociates degree in CNC/Industrial Machining. So I will be looking for a job as well. I will also be looking for a shop space to rent or share the rent with a fellow Rodder or two. I have enough Shop stuff that I can easily fill a 40x40 shop space with. If anyone has any suggestions I am open to them. At this point we live off 1604/281, Thousand oaks/henderson P*** area. We will most likely be moving to an area outside of 1604 and 151 area. As my wifes job is right there for Wachovia. We will also be looking for a house or house, shop, land to rent for a yr or so, until we get settled in here so If anyone has some suggestions for that we are open to area suggestions as well. So now on to my real reason for this posting. I am having some m***ive withdrawls from being around people with the common interest of Traditional Hot Rodding or cl***ic cars period. I have met a couple of guys at the parts stores too, but non that are really into Traditional stuff. They all seem to like muscle cars. I have only found 1 place that actually has a set hang out time and place. If there are some shops in town, I would love to find them out as well as find out about which part stores are Rodder Friendly too.. Thanks in advance for any help. Will

Thanks Robert, Ate at the Pig Stand today good grub for sure I am not a health freak haha.. Tony, I will look Chevyrat up too. I am keeping track of all the local stuff I can find, but I thought there would be more goin on here. i am sure as it warms up there will be plenty to do. I need to find a shop space that is secure, but wont kill me to bring all my tools and model A up with me. Its gonna be a hell of a move, I have a wholllllllleeeeeeeeee bunch of stuff lol.. Any Ideas on smaller shop space for a reasonable price around SA?? I'd like be closer to home than an hour away, but beggars can't be choosers at this point. lol thanks again
Pm skulker here on the hamb...garry's a great guy and will surely know what's goin on with hot rods in SA
I'm up in Bulverde, or rather, I work in Austin and my house is up 281. I see many interesting project cars on the local Craigs list for less than crazy prices. There are many frugal minded people in the hobby in SA. Tim
Thanks matt n tim. I was nrxt gonna ask about salvage yards , they don't have to be old iron yards I like new stuff as well, but I would certainly love to beable to walk through them and make friends with the owners. Ild like to find some outta the sa area too. Ya know a nice little ride outta town but not a couple hours drive at first. Still tight on time when I am up here for the weekends, Thanks for all the help. Will
I'm kinda in the same position. I moved here to San Antonio from the northeast less then a year ago and am looking for some weekend wrenchers to hang out with. I work at a dealership on modern cars but have a p***ion for the 40s and 50s. I was looking for a weekend job working on cl***ics but for 2days a week and most shops aren't open on Sundays that is a dream at best
I just made it to Helotes. Currently looking for an honest shop that can help get me running again... chronic health problems holding me back from accomplishing much these days. Any suggestions? TH350 is bleeding... could be as simple as a seal, or... after that, I'd like an ***essment of engine he as lth. 250 sounds a little noisy down low up front. It may be nothing, but wouldn't want to stick a rod through the side. Of course, I'm going nowhere until trans gets resolved. Recommendations for who might be able to help appreciated.
I've tried contacting most of the people on this list... seems they've all disappeared. Anyone else out there??
