    I built a 302 that was bored 40k. How many cubic inch is it now?

    BoreXboreXstrokeX.7854X#ofcylinders. Write it down and then you will be able to alwahys figire it out yourself. Incidently, .7854 is quarter Pi. That makes it a simple multipication function with no division necessary.

    Yep, they call a 30 over a 306 and a 40 over a 308.

    I like the math. The multiplier is easy to remember. It's just a little clockwise square in the upper left corner.

    From experience. keep an eye on the temp. 289's & 302's get tricky at 40 over and tend to run hot. Thin wall blocks and core shift are the culprit. I gave up on production blocks if doing any sort of hot SBF.
