I am looking for a good turquoise color for my 58 Apache. Not baby blue, not sea-foam green, not too dark. If you have a suggestion, I would sure like to see a picture and have the name and if possible the paint code to go with it. I know colors are hard to get to show correctly, but don't be afraid to include a picture. So far, the best chip I have found on-line is Tartan Turquoise, a 57-61 Chevy truck color.
    Thanks.

The original Indian Turquoise on my 57 Suburban looks great, and gets lots of compliments, so I don't think I'm the only one who likes it.

Tartan Turquoise is a little too blue for my liking.

That Squirrel Blue above is perfect! Not too much, not too bright, not to dark

Everything Squirrel does is perfect. I'm liking that color a lot. In the chip library it is much darker, which is why I was leaning to the Tartan Blue.

  5. I like the original real well. The Turquoise on the early '60s Willys trucks was pretty nice too. Let me look for an example.

This is close I think they called it Diamond blue or something.

I did this one in Larkspur blue, I think it was 56-7 chev colour. The pic is a little off the true colour, I was real happy with it.

It sure is hard to tell what color they really are, over the internets.

I was having trouble adding photos from the upload a file option. But I got it to work by just dragging and dropping a photo from my computer file to the thread.

  15. LOL painting metallic is easy you throw it on and what you see is what you get. Fixing it now that is an entirely different story. :D

The Squirrel is correct once again a turquoise is a solid color and yes it is hard to tell a color on the web. monitor plays a part as well as who took and or tweeked the photo.
